James Tarkowski injury latest after missing Arsenal vs Everton
James Tarkowski injury update following Everton’s absence against Arsenal
Everton’s center-back James Tarkowski will not be participating in the Premier League clash against Arsenal, due to a persistent injury. This marks his initial exclusion from a match this term, adding to the challenge of the team’s defensive setup.
With Tarkowski sidelined, manager David Moyes has opted to deploy Jake O’Brien and Michael Keane as the starting pair in central defense. Additionally, Jarrad Branthwaite is also unavailable for the game, further testing the squad’s depth.
“I’m not sharing anything with you,” Moyes stated before the match. “You can see it, we’re missing two center-halves today, but we’ve also got two who have one really well for us. We’re prepared, we prepared during the week, we’ve had time to do so, so it shouldn’t make too much difference hopefully.”
Arsenal, the league leaders, face a potential shift in their challenge for the title if Everton secure a victory at the Emirates Stadium. A win would elevate the Toffees to sixth place, surpassing Brentford in the table.
