Bronny James sets up father LeBron in Lakers win
Bronny James, 19, has shared the court with his father, LeBron, over two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. In a pivotal moment during the game, the 19-year-old delivered the first assist from son to father in NBA history, setting up LeBron for a dunk. LeBron, 41, completed the play with a 26-point performance, while Bronny added 10 points and three assists.
The Lakers secured a win against their state rivals, defeating the Golden State Warriors 119-103. The pair’s historic pass was part of a broader offensive display, as LeBron also tallied 11 assists. The Warriors now occupy the 10th seed in the Western Conference, while the Lakers remain fourth in the standings. The playoffs begin on 18 April, and both teams have already clinched spots.
Elsewhere in the league, the New York Knicks edged out the Boston Celtics 112-106, with Josh Hart scoring 26 points. This result puts pressure on the Celtics, who are second in the Eastern Conference, as the Knicks hold the third position with two games remaining in the regular season. The Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets also advanced, defeating the Miami Heat 128-114 and the Philadelphia 76ers 113-102, respectively, to bolster their playoff hopes.
Meanwhile, teams already out of contention saw their own victories. The Chicago Bulls triumphed 119-108 over the Washington Wizards, and the Indiana Pacers routed the Brooklyn Nets 123-94. These results highlight the competitive spirit across all matchups.
