Meghan to headline £1,400 ‘girls’ weekend’ in Australia: Duchess to give Q&A and pose for photos with VIP guests at luxury retreat with yoga, sound healing and manifestation exercises
Meghan Markle to Lead £1,400 ‘Girls’ Weekend’ in Australia
The Duchess of Sussex will be the focal point of a £1,400 wellness retreat in Sydney, offering a keynote address and photo sessions with high-profile attendees. The exclusive gathering will blend yoga, sound therapy, and self-development workshops, creating a serene escape for women seeking personal growth.
Organized by the Her Best Life podcast, the event will welcome 300 participants during the couple’s upcoming Australian tour. The three-day retreat, held at a coastal hotel, includes a fireside chat with Meghan, followed by a gala dinner where she will share insights with attendees. Those purchasing premium tickets for £1,700 will gain access to front-row seating and a group photograph with the Duchess.
VIP Experience and Founder’s Perspective
According to Gemma O’Neill, the founder and host of Her Best Life, the retreat is designed to foster meaningful connections among women. ‘It’s a rare opportunity for 300 women to gather in a relaxed, luxurious setting for deep discussions and joyful experiences,’ she explained. The event, she noted, was inspired by Meghan’s interest in the podcast’s mission, which emphasizes empowerment and community support.
‘I’ve respected [Meghan] for her resilience and the way she’s shown women can overcome challenges and thrive,’ O’Neill remarked. ‘She reached out after a mutual friend suggested the partnership, and it’s clear she’s passionate about the values we represent.’
O’Neill initially hesitated to accept Meghan’s invitation but ultimately decided the audience would benefit from the Duchess’s presence. The retreat is part of the Sussexes’ broader engagement in Australia, marking their return to the country seven years after their first visit in 2018 as senior royals.
Children’s Absence and Business Shift
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will not accompany the couple during this trip, as they focus on private and professional activities. The visit also follows the recent dissolution of Meghan’s collaboration with Netflix, where her lifestyle brand, As Ever, was parted from the streaming service.
A Los Angeles insider claimed the partnership ended because the Duchess’s jam and flower sprinkles line ‘didn’t align’ with Netflix’s customer preferences. The split has sparked speculation, with some suggesting it reflects concerns over Meghan’s brand’s creative direction. A spokesperson noted the couple will engage in various initiatives, including philanthropy and business ventures, during their stay.
