Murder Charge Over Primrose Hill Stabbing

A 21-year-old film student, Finbar Sullivan, was found dead after being stabbed near a viewing spot in Primrose Hill. The incident occurred on Tuesday, with authorities confirming his fatal injuries. The Metropolitan Police revealed that Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, from Southbury Road, Enfield, was arrested on Friday and formally charged with murder on Sunday.

Ogunyankinnu is scheduled to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man arrested on suspicion of aiding the accused has been released without further charges. The police stated that their investigation remains active, with additional details expected to emerge.

Victim’s Background and Family Reaction

Sullivan, who studied at the London Screen Academy, was remembered by his loved ones as a bright and influential figure. His father, Chris Sullivan, 65, shared with BBC London that his son was a cherished individual, often described as the light and leader among friends. “His friends’ parents adored him, which makes this loss especially heart-wrenching,” he said.

“All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,” said Chris Sullivan, 65, reflecting on the tragic event.

Another man, in his early 20s, was also discovered with stab wounds on Regent’s Park Road the same day. He was hospitalized, though his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
